This beautifully illustrated and designed catalog accompanied a 1985 retrospective exhibition of Ambasz work at the Axis Gallery in Tokyo. The dust jacket was embossed and die-cut. The die-cut pieces can be removed and folded into a three-dimensional representation of two of his architectural projects. Text in English and Japanese.
Emilio Ambasz (b. 1943) is an Argentinian-US architect and award-winning industrial designer. From 1969 to 1976 he was Curator of Design at the Museum of Modern Art, in New York. Ambasz has been labeled as "the father, poet, and prophet" of the green architecture by Japanese architect Tadao Ando.
